About

FARMEQ.COM sells used equipment for the Landscape and Construction Industry. We specialize in good, roadworthy equipment, much is one owner and not all painted and patched to hide flaws. Landscapers and Contractors  in North Florida can consign their equipment and not worry about advertising, e-mails to answer and annoying phone calls. The equipment brings a fair price for both buyer and seller without the  financial risk and expense that a No-Reserve Auction brings or the danger of parking your equipment along side some roadway 4SALE.

We can pick up the equipment from your location, take all photos and display the equipment at our  busy U.S. 1   Jacksonville location or you can bring the equipment to us. Your equipment must be in our yard for customers to see, inspect and drive, and for us to post on our website and place advertising on your behalf.  We’ll keep the batteries up, tires inflated and cleaned.  Our fee and overhead is far less than Auctions and we care about you as a Seller. We also work with a Buyer to find the right equipment to meet their needs. We are not bias in our evaluation, having operated and owned all types of construction and landscape equipment over 25 years. From 35 ton hydraulic cranes to sod cutters, I have owned and operated it all.

I speak English and Spanish and work with export Buyers from Central,  South America and Mexico. Crating, delivery and shipping out of the Port of Jacksonville can be done without worry or delay. Payment is received prior to shipping and your cargo is fully insured to arrive safely.

From a Sellers perspective in these tough economic times it pays to be “Lean and Mean” right now. Look around your yard and consider consigning your seldom used trucks, tractors, equipment and trailers. Couldn’t you use the cash instead? That equipment is not getting any younger or more valuable just laying around.

From a Buyers perspective it does not pay to buy new equipment in these dog days,  to keep renting at great expense, or to continue paying delivery fees when you could own your own trucks and trailers and save big $$. Costs of inventory to buy a truckload to “save on freight” could pay for a nice used truck or trailer in a short time. Hauling all your tools and crew to the jobsite safely and efficiently each day just makes sound economic sense.

The used equipment market in Jacksonville continues to outpace and outperform the rest of Florida. Exports from Port of Jax.  are second only to Miami(and do we want to deal with CubaNortê?) and if you sell your excess equipment for a fair price now, you can afford to purchase other equipment when it’s needed in the future. I urge you to consider freeing up some of your capital  and call me today. When you are ready to purchase I will help you find just what you need, when you need it, and at a fair price.

BUYING -vs- RENTING

Buy it and when you need it, you have it at your command. Rent it and wait for delivery or for someone else to return it and hope it’s not tore up. Buy it and you can depreciate it over time to even out your tax liability. Rent it and you must write off the whole expense yearly even if you don’t need the deductions this year. Buy it and you can show up at your customers with your company name on the door or on the trailer or both. Rent it and United/ Neff/Hertz/Sunbelt/RSC/Taylor/FCR/ACME Roadrunner Rentals advertises on your jobsites, not you. Buy it and your total cost with maintenance and insurance included will be a third to a half of what rental companies charge. And you can sell it when you no longer need it. How do you think they can afford those shiny new delivery trucks delivering that new or near new equipment, pay the rental staff, the drivers, the support staff, and pay for their huge facility and still make a large profit for shareholders and owners? From the Renter. You can do the math.

When things are booming and profits are rolling in time is at a premium, you may need to rent specialized equipment like a large crane or telescopic lift, but if you use equipment more than 3 or 4 times a month renting is costing your company its’  profits. I suppose you could hedge your bet and invest in some rental company stock or even cut your uniform expenses and wear one of their T-Shirts to work instead of your own company’s.

Work safe out there guys and GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
